Estimated reading: 2 minutes 95 views

Summary: Effortlessly customize your website’s footer using Elementor. Edit imported footer templates or design new ones from scratch, and fine-tune global and page-level settings—like position, sticky behavior, and layout—to perfectly match your site’s style.

Customize Your Website Header with Keystone Themes

Your website’s footer is more than just the end of the page—it’s an essential space for information, navigation, and branding. With Keystone Themes, you can use either the default setup or Elementor’s powerful tools to create a footer that fits your site perfectly.

1. Default Theme Footer

Keystone Themes provides a clean, static footer by default—ideal for startup or content-focused websites.
To customize the footer widgets:
Go to Appearance > Widgets and adjust the available widget areas as needed.

2. Using the Elementor Footer Builder

Edit the Imported Footer

When you import demo content, a ready-made footer is included. To customize it:

  • Go to Admin > Footers
  • Open the existing Footer template
  • Click Edit with Elementor to begin editing the layout, content, and style

Create a Footer from Scratch

To build a custom footer using Elementor:

  • Go to Admin > Footers > Add New
  • In the popup:
    • Enter a Title
    • Select Type: Footer
    • Set Conditions: Entire Site
    • Enable the activation toggle
  • Click Edit with Elementor
  • Use container-based layouts and drag in elements like:
    • Text
    • Icons
    • Menus
    • Social Links
    • Buttons
  • To speed things up, click the template library icon and search for “footer” to use a pre-designed layout
  • After customization, click Update to save your changes

3. Global Footer Options

To apply site-wide footer settings:

Navigate to Theme Options > Layout > Footer, where you can control:

  • Footer Position:
    • Default (scrolls with the page)
    • Sticky (fixed at the bottom of the screen)

4. Page-Level Footer Settings

You can override footer settings on individual pages using Elementor:

  • Edit any page with Elementor
  • Click the Settings Cog (bottom-left corner)
  • Go to the Style tab > Footer settings

Options include:

  • Disable Sticky Position: Turn off the sticky footer for that specific page

Final Thoughts

With Keystone Themes and Elementor, you have full control over your website’s footer—globally and per page. Whether you prefer a quick setup or a completely custom layout, you can design a footer that’s both functional and beautifully integrated into your site’s overall look.
